Curt, Tina and I drove to the end of the state to see what we could of the oil spill. Also to spend money in the local economy!
Most people don’t really understand that history is being made everyday and we are all a part of it. It was very important to be a witness! Television lacks reality lately- fluff fluff fluff
We didn’t know what to expect – but what we didn’t expect was ‘not much’ going on! There was an eerie lack of activity! We had seen bigger staging areas at movie shoots in Shreveport! VERY Disappointing!
Day 84 We left Shreveport onĀ to a gushing wound of a 100 uncapped well- about 60,ooo barrels of oil a day!
Day 87 We made it to the bottom of Louisiana- and saw this.
Day 88 We woke in New Orleans to see the capped well! Thank GOD!
Day 111 They are trying to say that about 4 million barrels of oil are gone! Dissipated, disappeared, and just flippin flew away… which leaves one million barrels unaccounted for even by their own admission…
ONLY TIME WILL TELL- oh and the cement isn’t dry and BP is contemplating digging in the same area already!

A big dead fish, a bird near a docked fishing boat with boom instead of nets. Crab traps and boats sat docked instead of out in the Gulf.
Like everyone there I fear that BP is going to cut and run…
